The Ariane 5 hydrazine ACS is located in the VEB (avionics bay). The ACS is used for both attitude and roll control of the launcher during its ascent, as well as the insertion of one or more payloads into their initial orbits. The same ACS propulsion hardware and components is also used for a variety of spacecraft propulsion systems.
