Integration of bipropellant thruster. Thruster Integration

The Airbus Space Systems facility at Lampoldshausen is the centre of competence for the production of complete satellite propulsion systems, subsystems and components. Here, production resources enable the manufacture, assembly, integration and testing of monopropellant thrusters, bipropellant thrusters, ion thrusters, sub-systems and complete propulsion systems for satellites and spacecraft.

 

Lampoldshausen production facilities are also used for the manufacturing of ground and launch support equipment, as well as hot-fire test stands for monopropellant and bipropellant thrusters, rocket engines and complete propulsion systems.

 

Clean Room

  • 75 sq. meter working area.
  • Continuous environmental measurement for particles, temperature and humidity.
  • Crane with 3.7 m lifting height and 2 tonnes capacity.
  • Media supply (Helium, Nitrogen, Argon) from supply stations for MSG assembly.
